Dr. Ken Berry is the author of “Lies My Doctor Told Me”. He wrote the book after trying to lose weight following the conventional method - low-fat, high carb, more exercise. Convention failed, as it does for the majority of those who try it but Dr. Berry didn't give up! He discovered Robb Wolf’s “The Paleo Solution” and Mark Sisson’s “The Primal Blueprint” and not only enjoyed amazing success but changed his entire paradigm!
Globally, health and wellness are at a tipping point. We are quickly approaching an era where 50% of our friends and family will be diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and 75% with metabolic syndrome. To say this would be catastrophic would be an understatement.
Luckily, more and more folks are understanding that the Standard American Diet is to blame. To add insult to injury, the recommendation of eating low-fat, low-calorie and increased exercise may have been wrong!
I highly recommend reading The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung and Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes as jumping off points for learning about the obesity epidemic and how it can be eradicated.
