The majority has already happened or will happen.

I invited Kris Millington and Mike Stojic on to talk about the crazy violent world we live in. Are we truly living in a world plagued by an epidemic of gun violence or are we living in a world which is more aware of such events. Statistically, we live in the safest era of human existence but if you listen to the various talking heads, you'd believe there is violence on every street corner. We try to keep a dark topic light and approach some ideas in a practical manner. Of course we don't solve anything but we have some fun trying. So crack open some booze, pull up a barstool and lets philosophize!

This week we record outside the studio as Mike and I head to Durham, NC to visit the Rhine Research Center and submit to a barrage of tests to determine if we have psychic abilities such as pre-cognition, mind reading, and psychokinesis! The Rhine's mission: "The Rhine Research Center explores the frontiers of consciousness and exceptional human experiences in the context of unusual and unexplained phenomena. The Rhine’s mission is to advance the science of parapsychology, to provide education and resources for the public, and to foster a community for individuals with personal and professional interest in PSI."
We had a lot of fun and even tried to bend spoons with the power of our minds. Did we succeed? Listen to find out!

Are jet packs a good idea? Will future humans be nothing more than avatars? Will we be a bunch of brains in jars living out our existence in eternal bliss? What does the future hold for DNA editing? He shares his insights and how he became the President of the company his father worked for and what it is like working with the Chinese. We also discuss what it means to parent in the modern age; what college was like in the 90s compared to today, and of course we explore his philosophy in the meaning of life.

John is the author of Umbrella of Suspicion: Investigating the Death of JonBenet Ramsey and Isolated Incident: Investigating the Death of Nancy Cooper published in 2012 and 2014, respectively. He is the executive producer and host of the podcast Twisted-Unraveling the Intricacies of True Crime. John currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina."
