Summer has been a bit busy and we've been slow to get out new episodes. As we start to approach the end of warm days (or for our Australian listeners... as the summer approaches), I have some interesting guests lined up! We'll talk again to Philosopher Extraordinaire Paul Adams on the meaning of free will and if it truly exists. And we'll be interviewing true crime writer John Taylor on what makes a murderer, a sociopath/psychopath and the reality of these real life monsters.
Tonight, however, Mike and I got together to chat it up and drink some whiskey as we ponder some doomsday scenarios. We get an up date on the “Make it a Double” podcast and talk about new information on weight loss and weight management (don't sigh... there's good info there).
I hope you enjoy!

Kris is a former NY Sheriff's Deputy and is currently a paranormal investigator with As Southern As Possible Paranormal. She joins us today to discuss the experiences which led her to pursue the paranormal and her experiences pursuing the paranormal. What is a ghost? What does it mean to be "haunted"? How do you "hunt" for paranormal activity? We try to answer these questions and more from both the skeptic's view (Kevin) and the believer's view (Mike). She also shares with us some creepy EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) captured during her investigations.
Thanks for listening! It's hard work putting together a show while balancing family and work and your listenership is appreciated more than you could know!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July! We revisited the weekend's holiday with some audio from our neighborhood pyrotechnics! We talk about the $300,000 hamburger which was grown in a lab. Is this disgusting or just the future of feeding the world's growing population? We also learn a little about the movement towards making bugs into food.
We hope you enjoy our culinary episode sprinkled with a little metaphysics!

#11 Ancient Ruins/Ancient Aliens? Gobekli Tepe and The Nazca Lines; What are ghosts?
Thursday Jul 02, 2015
Thursday Jul 02, 2015
Greetings! Happy 4th and thanks so much for checking out the latest Wait, What if??? podcast. Today we go on an ancient journey and explore the ruins of Gobekli Tepe and the Nasca Lines. What are they and how did they get there? Were the ancients assisted in building these structures or just really motivated people? Why did they build them and are we much different today? This of course leads us to discuss whether or not you believe in ghosts and if yes/no... what explains the unexplained? Mike give us an update on his podcast "Make it a Double" and shares a creepy photo of a human figure he caught on his camera. Is it our minds playing tricks, you decide. I'll post it on the Facebook page for you to judge for yourself.

Tonight Adam and I took a trip down the rabbit hole and discussed just how big our Universe is and what that means to our lonely planet. Will we ever meet aliens? Would it even be possible? Are they already here and we're just not interesting enough. We also delve into theories of big game dinosaurs, space plankton, genetically engineered alien gold miners, and the theory of panspermia... just to name a few.

This week I'm joined by retired Air Force Master Sergeant Paul Adams. Paul is former IT specialist, jazz musician, educator and life long student of philosophy. We look at Thomas Aquinas's 5 Proofs of the existence of God, ponder who might God be and the 'why/why not' an of individual's need for theistic guidance.
