Hans was down and out after a layoff from his dream job at Think Geek forced him to sink or swim. He was lucky enough to have a tight knit group of friends and colleagues who inspired him to complete a life long dream of creating the Mini Museum. The idea first came to him as a little boy when he watched his father encase an artifact into an epoxy capsule to preserve it. 40 years later, with the help of the crowd funding giants Kick Starter, his vision became a reality. The project was grandiose and took him to the corners of the world to collect interesting bits of history, modern and ancient. Hans was kind enough to share his story with us and I hope you enjoy!

Ron is a fellow PA and has been a friend of the family for many years. One day we discovered he had a secret former life in pro football that brought him face to face with NFL legends like Ed "Too Tall" Jones and Coach Tom Landry. Injuries (and a few hundredths of a seconds in speed) landed him in NFL limbo so he did what any of us would do and became a cult B-Horror movie star!

This week we dive into the world of crime and punishment by examining everyone's favorite true crime, “Making a Murderer”, with former NY prosecuting attorney Frank Constantine and former law enforcement officer/author John Taylor. This show was very interesting to record and it was interesting to learn about how a lawyer would approach this infamous crime. We ask Mr. Constantine the burning questions we all have for lawyers; How do they defend criminals with good conscience? How do you defend a person you don't believe?
John Taylor is a great guest and hosts his own podcast over at www.twistedpodcast.com. His books can be found at Amazon.

Paul Rudd said it best, “When life deals you lemons, f#ck the lemons and bail!” Savanna went remote and interviewed a Bitcoin expert and emailed me the files so I could incorporate them into a live broadcast. It was planned so well and executed to perfection and the show was going to be cool and informative... Well, none of that worked out so we ended up just “winging” it! This is how all the shows used to be back in the good 'ol days and part of me wants to get back to this format. Good for some laughs (bad for my liver).
Mike returns for some whiskey and philosophizing. Savanna takes us to school about the future of our economy with virtual money. I wish we did more of these shows because their fun and unintentionally funny!

This was a really fun episode to record with rising star Pete Van Dyk creator and host of Live from the Dutch Hall Podcast. Pete was in a mid-life slump. He turned 40 and the only thing he was gaining was inches to his waistline and dissatisfaction with his professional career. So, what does everyone do whilst in a mid-life crisis? Quit your job and start a podcasting/stand-up comedy career. We talk about the pitfalls and successes of starting a podcast, the brutal world of comedy and what it takes to balance life with the horribly addicting hobby of vomiting your thoughts out for the rest of the world to hear. If your interested in getting into podcasting, this episode is a must listen. Pete's success has led him to obtaining a personal bartender, a house band and a cult following among introverted recluses located in the Canadian tundra. I tried to bleep out all the cursing but it got too time consuming! Warning explicit language!

So if you've listened to the show over the past few months you know I had a midlife crisis and decided to deadlift 400 pounds by the time I turned 40 in December. It turned out to be a stupid decision because instead of dealifting 400 pounds, I ended up spending hours laying on the floor with a hurt back. In researching rehab programs, I discovered GMB Fitness after seeing a lot of chatter about them on twitter. Their focus is on mindfulness, listening to your body and exploring movements through various work flows. The first paragraph on their website caught my attention the most:
“Lately, the word “fitness” has been perverted to mean shaming yourself into doing things you hate to impress people you don’t like with a body that looks good but is too beat-up and tired to do anything fun.”
Ryan was a cool interview and we had a good discussion on what it means to get fit today and what our motivations are for hitting the gym. We talk about stripping away the equipment and getting back to the bare essentials in our bare feet.

This week, the AMAZING story of wounded Navy veteran Nico Maroulis who literally went from wheelchair to the top of the world. Her personal drive and determination to physically push through injuries is an inspiration to anyone facing hardship. In this episode we discuss the hallmark injuries of the War on Terror, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and the complicated process of recovery. We discuss her experiences riding a hand cycle across the continental US and her trip to Nepal to climb Mt. Lobuche (situated next to Everest). She was featured in the documentary High Ground and Two Shining Seas. She is a founding member of Summit IDG, an organization which provides motivation and training to veterans and first responders injured on duty to regain peak performance and reach personal summits of achievement. We had a GREAT discussion and this is one of my favorite episodes! Hope you enjoy!

Tom Bell is a student archaeologist who volunteered with his girlfriend to work at a site called Star Carr in England. He happened to see a small stone about the size and shape of a guitar pick and on further examination, he uncovered a 12,000 year old piece of art... the oldest of it's kind! Who owned it? What were the people like? We have a good talk about the science of archaeology and wax philosophical about time and what our short lives mean in the vastness of human existence.
